It was a long hiatus...

...but I think I'm back to normal now. I took roughly three months off from doing anything productive. It was due to a serious motivational issue. Burnout tends to occur when I focus too much time on something and ignoring everything else that is whirling around in my head.

I did a lot of thinking on what I want to do with my life. I've been studying C++ on my own for awhile with the intent of creating games for edutainment purposes for special needs children. I'd still like to do this, but as a full time job, I don't think there are many places specializing in this. I'm leaning on the idea of doing it by freelance contracts. So with C++, I'm going to focus on business applications/databases for companies. Starting my own business is definitely an option I'm leaning towards, but that's a long ways off. I have a few other things I'd like to do as well

I am an artist. I'm an unpublished writer, cartoonist, and have an interest in industrial arts projects. I've been writing a children's book for the past few years. I've been working on it off and on for a long time now, and I'd like to organize all my notes to finally work on a complete rewrite of its current state and finish it. The book is told in rhyme and filled with illustrations. I'm debating on splitting it up into several books because the way it looks in my notes, it really going to be long. I also am looking into working on a serial novel told in a first person journal style and releasing it on blogger.

I'm going to attempt to regularly update this journal. I think it might help keep my motivation up and the projects rolling. Tomorrow's the beginning of a new week and the start of all my work hopefully coming to fruition.
